BI and the Cloud

This article written by Cliff Saran looks at the Garter “Predicts 2012” report from a different perspective: how companies will adopt to Business Intelligence in the Cloud. Saran points out how companies already utilizing the cloud for specific application will be more likely to look towards the cloud for BI functionality – whereas companies that are hesitant to use the cloud now will be much less likely to consider it a viable solution. Saran also points out the finding that businesses will need to find the balance between centralized and decentralized model for business intelligence, allowing for a more agile approach.
