What’s Holding CISOs Back?

Balaouras gives all the reasons this shouldn’t be: with the explosion of mobile devices and cloud software, organizations are rapidly losing control of their data. She gives a few theories to the missing numbers: either professionals are hesitant to apply risk management practices to security, IT hasn’t yet built the importance of security to overall business objectives, or IT simply doesn’t know how to talk to the rest of the business in a way the business can understand.
