What makes the life of a CIO difficult?

Time to react is getting shorter, business alignment is more important than ever, and employees are asking for more and more in the way of technology. This are just a few of the things that can keep CIOs up at night, and as Akhilesh Tuteja explains, the list is just going to grow. Truth is, the life of the CIO is full of difficulties – it’s part of the reason why they are the Chief Information Officer. When the buck stops with you, it’s likely that many of the things which need attention won’t be pleasant to work out. The key is prioritizing, delegating, and determining if your actions help or hinder the organization as a whole. Innovation and success only come along with intelligent actions and deliberate effort.
