The Caveman in the Executive Suite

What qualities make up a good executive? A sense of responsibility, for one, and perhaps even some fancy footwork when the going gets tough, but what about being able to kill a saber tooth tiger? Well, while that may not exactly be a qualification found on a CV, it's that kind of thinking that Thorton A May says still plays a large part in executive identity. Citing how stone age leaders were leaders solely on merit (how well they defended the tribe, found food, etc.), May insists that we now live in an age where merit again plays a huge role in who leads us.
