The Benefit of Finding Problems Early in a Project

This brief post quickly shows the importance of catching problems early: Peter H. Feiler and Jorgen Hansson from the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) compiled and published statistics showing just how much of an impact problems have at different stages of a project. For instance, 70% of problems are created during the early stages of the project lifecycle, but only a miniscule 3.5% of those problems are found in those astages.
