Do Enough IT Professionals Want to Be CIO?

Being a CIO is stressful – so stressful, apparently, that people are more willing to take lower paying jobs or not seek promotion to avoid it! In this blog post hosted on CIO.com, Meridith Levinson points to a recent email from an IT manager she received indicated that out of his group, 4 came to him from higher paying, more managerial roles. The reason they downgraded? The stress and politics of IT management.
