Do colleagues kill your productivity?

Interruptions from office colleagues may be the biggest contributing factor to your team’s lost productivity. While a little break to talk about the game last night might seem innocent enough, this blog post by Laura Vanderkam discusses two recent surveys where the respondents indicated that colleague interruptions were the #1 reason they were slipping on productivity. So what can you do as a boss? Pay attention to employees with headphones on or who are asking to work from home; the reason may not be for distraction, but to avoid distraction!
