All Aboard! Are you ready for IT resource planning?

IT resource planning is fundamental, and all organizations have it in one form or another; However, IT resource planning needs to change in order to incorporate the emerging technologies of virtualization and cloud computing. As Denise Dubie explains in this post, current methods of planning are antiquated. Pointing out findings by Gartner, Dubie indicates that the breadth of IT resource planning will expand to include people outside of the IT organization as well as technical issues such as placement of data centers and cooling mechanisms.
