Project Portfolio Management will matter even more in 2012 according to Alex Adamopoulos – and he has five reasons to help explain why. PPM itself has made quite an impact on the world of IT as it is, often cited as a deciding factor in business alignment. Adamopoulos explains in this article, however, how PPM will continue to grow in importance. For instance, he mentions how PPM will establish IT’s role as a strategic resource once more, allowing for integration with the whole business and not isolating IT as simply a necessary expense.
