Most employees choose to leave their jobs because of their boss, and that's often a hard pill to swallow if you're that boss they're leaving. One tip is to simply be the leader ““ don't shy away from taking on the responsibility and challenges that the role demands. Another helpful tip is to create accountability: communicate expectation, create consequences, and have discussions on observable behavior (not opinion).
